Misty Lunch

Since the Olomana Excursion I have found myself completely obsessed with hiking. I haven't done very many yet, but I can tell already that this might end up being a weekly affair. Well so far it has been. A friend of mine facebooked me last night about a hike named is Pu'u O Kona, a six mile loop that follows a ridge starting in Kuliouou. Im glad I decided to go as the view at the top was well worth it. We stared out at the bottom of the valley and made our way up to the top of Kuliouou Ridge, where we walked through a series of Pine Tree groves and small Ohia patches. When we neared the summit at the end of the path we stopped to admire the 360ยบ view of most of South and East Oahu. But our journey wasn't over just yet. We proceeded to the top of another peak and walked along the more southern part of the Ko'olau's where we could now see all of Kaneohe and the rest of the mountain range. Meanwhile the clouds had a different plan for us. As we made our way to the highest peak of our journey, the clouds were moving in on us quite fast. Then with the tradewind breeze they soon shot their way up and over the mountain range clouding us in for a cool and misty break for lunch.

Here are some photos and a video from todays hike. Lucky we live Hawaii.
